To My Loving Valentine

I know its a little late to still be talking about Valentine's Day but I wanted to share with you my favorite project of all. This is the Valentine I gave to my Valentine this year!

Embarrassing fun fact but I made his card about a month early! I got inspired and had to go for it. My Valentine and I have a special and dorky relationship. The little monsters are just perfect for us (I’m the yellow polka dotted one, go figure).

I rendered these little monster versions of us mostly in marker and gave the one a big googlie eye. Originally I mounted it all on a dark blue card because I liked the colors together. After about a week I changed it because red is more Valentine's Day after all. Good thing I started early!

I spent Valentine's morning making homemade chocolates while my Valentine was in class. These handmade chocolates needed a handmade box. I arranged tiny hearts and the word LOVE and embossed them with the Cuttlebug. He is also a graphic designer and a boy so fluffy lovie dovie was out of the question. Nice and fairly simple white on white placed on the same dark red as the card. I was so proud to give this to him. He is truly great and deserved a gift made with love!
